Chapter VI
Does the rose have a thorn?

With in ever nature lies the seed of its opposite. A little bit of poison is medicine. A lot of medicine is poisonous. So, how much Jalapeno pepper is poisonous to the body? That is to say, what are the chemotoxic effects of the Jalapeno peppers capsaicin compound. Bluntly speaking what are its neurotoxicity, genotoxicity, carcinogenicity, mutagenicity and tumorigenicity. There are several thousand papers written on the peppers and their capsaicin compound and their author’s views are mixed. Some concluded death as well as all of the icities mentioned above. In studies, which obtained ill results the concentrations of capsaicin where so high, that a human would have to eat at least two pounds of dried powder in a very short time to get the same effect. However, on the other hand an effect was produced. In high doses capsaicin produced DNA errors because it speeded up its synthesis. These errors in synthesis of DNA are a potential for chromotoxicity as well as geneotoxicity. These mutagenic properties of capsaicin can be suppressed with chlorophyll a green plant pigment used in photosynthesis. Capsaicin is also neurotoxic to neonates in high doses. These neonates of course where mice, but as a word of caution don’t give peppers to babies or children. On the overall no decisive studies have been done on humans. But the general consensus is that the benefits out weight the shortcomings. Capsaicin when in small and moderate doses as prescribed above has the opposite effects. Its is an anti carcinogenic it disrupts the metabolism of free radical and carcinogenic substances into the body, It strengthen the immune system, the circulatory system, the heart and lung systems, it can prevent and treats hart attacks and strokes. I could go on this way for hours because the list is long enough to exhaust us all. From the above benefit many other application for Jalapeno peppers and their capsaicin compound can be derived. I first learn about the medicinal applications of Jalapeno peppers by the way of requesting help from the Supreme Being. The solution worked so well that I decided to write about it. In the process of writing about it I decided to research it. Before knowing all of the additional details I was able to cure the common cold, the flu, ear infections, eye infections, headache, sinus problems and hay fever. I would even rub it on my bottom eyelids to remove bags. When Jalapeno pepper is combined with a touch of chlorophyll i.e. at least two pill a week, and ginger, three thin slices in a cup of water just below the boiling point plus a teaspoon of honey. This tea can be taken in the place of soda or some other beverage one indulges in. Doing so one has the ultimate pharmacopoeia. One has all of the benefits of the capsaicin and its associated vitamins with minerals plus the benefits derived from ginger, such as an increase of heart muscle cell ATP, a colon cancer preventive. It also has anti-fungal an anti-bacterial properties and those derived from the combination capsaicin plus ginerols. This combination leads to a powerful concoction composed of compounds that generate a so-called balance that favors good eicosanoids. Eicosanoids are primitive hormones developed in organism over 500-million years ago. They control the actions of hormones of an organism down to the cellular level, and therefore constitute the organism’s information system. This molecular information highway is responsible for maintaining ergodic integrity with respect to the system design. Aging and disease are caused by hormonal insults when the information network’s ergodic integrity has been compromised. This compromise in most cases is due to an over abundance of so-called bad eicosanoids. However with in ever nature lies the seed of it opposite. As it is for cholesterol, bad cholesterol also has a job. Likewise to sustain life some so-called bad eicosanoids are required. Thus the golden elixir of life is obtained when the bad eicosanoids are kept at a minimum and the good eicosanoids are kept at a maximum. When this balance is achieved the life span of the organism is maximized.
